DESCRIPTION:This session introduces you to finding accessible resources th
 rough University Libraries and provides an overview of accessible digitiz
 ation when necessary. You will receive hands-on practice using the scanni
 ng equipment located on the first floor of Jerome Library.\n\nBy particip
 ating in this session\, you will learn how to determine if an existing di
 gital version is available\, mitigate limitations of digital copies\, and
  learn best practices for scanning physical books and articles into high-
 quality digital files that include searchable text (OCR) capabilities as 
 well as the text-to-audio (MP3) function.\n\nThis will be followed by a h
 ands-on scanning component\, during which you will practice creating acce
 ssible digital documents. You will then learn how to verify accessibility
  compliance and perform basic postproduction remediation to ensure that s
 canned materials meet accessibility standards and support equitable acces
 s for all users.\n\nBy participating in this session\, you will be able t
 o:\n\nApply best practices for converting physical books and articles to 
 digital files.Verify digital accessibility compliance of a PDF. Perform b
 asic PDF remediation functions utilizing Adobe Acrobat.Verify existing di
 gital versions of books and articles.To register for this session\, use t
