SUMMARY:Spooky Tales Night
LOCATION:Gerlinger Lounge
DESCRIPTION:'Tis the season for all the hauntings\, horrifying encounters\
, and harrowing close calls!\n\nThe UO Folklore Society is hosting our an
nual Spooky Tales Night on November 18\, 2026 from 6-9PM at the Gerlinger
Lounge.\n\nBring your best (short) spooky tales\, because this year we'r
e turning up the heat with the traditional summoning ritual of Hyaku Mono
gatari\, an Edo-period Japan parlour game inspired by Buddhist myth. 100
 tales\, 100 candles\, and a question: do you have the courage?\n\nThe Lou
nge will be set up with the candles behind a screen\, where tale tellers
must go to blow out their candles. Will you summon a visitor as your ligh
t snuffs out?\n\nFood and drinks will be provided. Everyone is encouraged
  to prepare multiple tales.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/07fe8b3a-6089-
