:\nThe LAS Research Blitz is an event that aims to tackle a specific rese
arch question/problem\nover the course of a day-long event. This will be
the first one\, but it is our hope that this\nbecomes a model for similar
events in service to pressing research questions among\nfaculty and comm
unity members.\nThis event will focus on Dr. Dylan M. Harris’s ongoing re
search on the ‘transit’ of the Just\nTransition – the move away from foss
 il fuels towards renewable energy and\, ideally\, a more\njust society –
in Central Appalachia. More specifically\, event participants will help D
r.\nHarris process data that will help refine a GIS tool – called PART –
developed by his\ncollaborators at the West Virginia Abandoned Properties
  Coalition\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/0b234566-135d-49f4-9e17-7f59b07
