SUMMARY:DFA @ PSU Project Meeting
LOCATION:HUB 229
DESCRIPTION:Want to use your skills to make a real difference right here i
n Happy Valley? Design for America (DFA) is a national network of student
-led studios that use human-centered design to tackle social challenges i
n their own communities. At Penn State\, we meet bi-weekly to work on pro
jects aimed at directly helping the Penn State community.\n\nPart of the
DFA experience is finding a social challenge you're genuinely passionate
about\, connecting with local organizations already working toward that m
ission\, and figuring out how your unique skills can push that work even
further. Along the way\, you'll learn the design process: researching and
empathizing with real people\, defining the problem\, brainstorming idea
 s\, prototyping\, and testing solutions.\n\nLast year\, our studio took o
n mental health and social media here in Happy Valley\, and we're excited
to see where this year takes us.\n\nDFA is open to all majors. Engineers
 \, artists\, business students\, psych majors\, and everyone in between b
ring something valuable to the table. No design experience is needed.\n\n
