SUMMARY:Crafting Feedback That Helps Students Learn
DESCRIPTION:What makes feedback effective\, and how can you give detailed\
, timely\, and actionable feedback to your students in the time you have?
This workshop will explore a research-validated articulation of characte
ristics of feedback that help students learn. You will identify where you
feel confident and where you need support and share several strategies f
or building feedback loops into individual comments\, assignments\, and c

to make feedback work for your students and you.\n\nThis workshop is pres
ented by the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE). The CTE provides compr
ehensive\, integrated solutions for instructors in search of teaching sol
utions. If you need feedback on assignment or syllabus design\, advice on
teaching methods\, or ideas for new activities\, consider booking a cons
ultation with the CTE.\n\nAll sessions are free to GW students\, faculty\
, staff\, and alumni. GW has an institutional commitment to ensuring that
all of our programs and events are accessible for all individuals. If yo
u require any accommodations to participate in this event\, please contac
t libraryevents@gwu.edu at least 72 business hours (3 business days) prio
