SUMMARY:Introduction to Protocols.io
LOCATION:Library Instruction & Training 2509\, 34.411572\,-119.847900
DESCRIPTION:Research papers often lack detailed instructions for repeating
a study. Protocols.io is an open-access platform for creating and sharin
g detailed dynamic protocols. In this introductory hands-on workshop\, we
will learn why protocol sharing matters and guide you through building a
step-by-step protocol. We will introduce core features\, highlight uniqu
e functionalities\, and discuss how Protocols.io fits alongside other met
hods-sharing options. By the end of the session\, you will understand how
to adapt protocols.io for your research workflow and use it to support r
 eproducible\, well-documented research.\n\nResearchers from all disciplin
es are welcome\, including those documenting lab procedures\, computation
al workflows\, or qualitative methods such as interview guides. This work
shop will be of particular interest to graduate students\, postdocs\, and
faculty.\n\nThis workshop is part of the Reproducible Methods with Proto
cols.io mini-series offered by the UCSB Library. A follow-up workshop on
Advanced Workflows for Research Teams Using protocols.io will be held on
January 19\, 2027.\n\nThis event may be photographed or recorded.\n\nhttp
