Join Bonnie Fong (D irector\, Bloomfield College Library) for an interactive professional dev elopment opportunity focused on Critical Information Literacy and AI Lite racy. We will discuss effective ways we can teach students how to:\n\n• n avigate and use information in an increasingly AI-driven information land scape\, recognizing the limitations of AI tools and AI-generated content\ ;\n\n• critically evaluate information\, identifying possible bias and re flecting on the existing economic\, political\, social\, and cultural str uctures that impact information creation\, dissemination\, and access\; a nd\n\n• incorporate responsible and thoughtful AI practices into their ac ademic work and possibly their life.\n\nParticipants will be introduced t o the teaching resources that Bonnie and Melissa John (Research & Instruc tion Librarian) developed - a rubric with accompanying instructional acti vities with possible assessments - and will be invited to share their own approaches to teaching critical information literacy skills and AI liter acy.
