SUMMARY:The SPENT Game and Financial Literacy Challenge

DESCRIPTION:The Sociology Club\, in collaboration with the Business Societ
 y\, invites students to join us for a fun and interactive event featuring
  the SPENT Game. In this simulation\, players are challenged to make fina
 ncial decisions while trying to get through a month on a limited income. 
 The game highlights some of the challenges that individuals and families 
 living in poverty may face\, including budgeting\, unexpected expenses\, 
 and difficult life choices.\n\nAfter playing the game\, we will have a gr
 oup discussion about our experiences and what we learned about poverty\, 
 financial hardship\, and the impact these issues can have on people's dai
 ly lives.\n\nFollowing the discussion\, participants will compete in a fi
 nancial literacy trivia game. The student with the highest score will win
  a $25 Visa gift card. We will also provide food and refreshments for att
 endees.\n\nThis event is open to all students. Come learn something new\,
  test your financial knowledge\, and have a chance to win a prize!\n\nhtt
