SUMMARY:Exhibition | Even Our Oddkin
LOCATION:Center for the Arts Gallery CA 3040\, Center for the Arts\, Towso
 n University\, Towson\, MD 21252\, USA
DESCRIPTION:On View: September 4 - December 5 (closed October 23 & Novembe
 r 21 - 28)\nGallery Hours: Tuesday - Saturday\, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.\n\nThis
exhibition brings together artists who are curious about the lives unfold
ing all around us: not just those of humans\, but the many beings\, mater
ials\, and systems with whom we share the world. The phrase “more-than-hu
man” reminds us that we are part of a vast web of animals\, plants\, micr
 obes\, machines\, weather\, chemicals and infrastructure. These artists i
magine what it might mean to meet those presences halfway and to consider
inner worlds we can’t fully know. They approach “nature” not as somethin
g distant or pure\, but as it exists now: shaped by technology\, politics
\, industry\, and everyday life. As a result\, familiar boundaries betwee
n nature and culture\, human and machine\, organic and manufactured begin
to dissolve. Leaning into this complexity\, the artists ask us to recons
ider what kinship might mean today\, and how we might live more thoughtfu
lly within a world where even our oddest neighbors are part of the family
. Guest curated by Lynn Tomlinson and Danielle d’Amico\, Department of El
 ectronic Media & Film.\n\nReception September 3 following the 6:30 p.m. a
rtist talk with landscape architects Sophie Maguire and Meg Baldwin.\n\nP
anel discussion October 1 with artists Billy Friebele\, Fanni Somogyi\, a
