Notes\n\nConsequence\, Absolution\, and Change (2026) is a piece that im
agines what the future might look like if the fanatical pursuit of techno
logical advancement\, namely AI\, is not halted.\n\nIn today's age we oft
en advance technology without regard for how that advancement affects the
world. In that pursuit we have begun to end the world\, destroying ecosy
stems and causing unimaginable loss of life. The pursuit of artificial in
telligence is no different\; massive data centers devour water and consum
e massive amounts of energy. Furthermore\, it even threatens our creativi
ty: AI music and many other forms of AI put artists out of work\, threate
ning to make our way of life impossible.\n\nThis idea of relentless pursu
it is unsustainable\, environmentally\, ethically and creatively. This pi
ece\, Consequence\, Absolution\, and Change\, imagines what the future mi
ght look like if this pursuit does not end. The piece is separated into t
hree sections\, with each imagining a different moment in this imagined f
uture.\n\nConsequence represents now\, and the near future as the world i
