SUMMARY:Kannada Language Series Session 2
LOCATION:Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center
DESCRIPTION:Kannada\, written ಕನ್ನಡ (Kannaḍa)\, is a Dravidian language sp
oken primarily by the Kannadiga people of South Asia and most widely used
in the South Indian state of Karnataka. It ranks among the oldest living
languages in India\, carrying a history of more than 1\,500 years along
with a deep tradition of literature\, poetry\, and art.\n\nThrough the Ka
nnada Language Sessions\, we hope to bring this language and culture to a
wider audience. These sessions will introduce the fundamentals of the la
nguage\, including the alphabet and script\, and teach simple phrases tha
t allow attendees to hold basic conversations.\n\nWe will also mark Kanna
da Rajyotsava by learning vocabulary and expressions tied to the occasion
. Beyond the language itself\, we will explore Kannada culture through di
scussions of the films\, music\, and dance forms rooted in Karnataka's tr
 aditions.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/22c81700-2a4c-4a8d-ba20-6ee84eee
