DESCRIPTION:New Organization Welcome Meetings serve to inform organization
 s that are new or formerly inactive on the steps of the registration proc
 ess and are a requirement for registration. While only one organization m
 ember (does not have to be in a leadership position) is required to atten
 d\, we recommend that more come.\n\nAt the New Organization Welcome Meeti
 ng\, students will meet with SORC staff\, hear about the benefits of beco
 ming a registered student organization\, learn more about resources to su
 pport your organization\, and ask questions about the next steps in the r
 egistration process.\n\nMost importantly\, there will be time to work wit
 h SORC staff members to submit your registration or help with the forms t
 hemselves.\n\nIf you have already attended a New Organization Welcome Mee
 ting for your organization in the Spring 2026 semester\, you will not hav
 e to attend another meeting for your organization. If you attended a New 
 Organization Welcome Meeting in or before Fall 2025\, you will need to at
 tend another meeting for your organization. If you are attempting to regi
 ster multiple new organizations\, you only need to attend one meeting.\n\
 nPlease contact SORC at sorc@umd.edu at least one week prior to the event
  to request disability accommodations. In all situations\, a good faith e
 ffort (up until the time of the event) will be made to provide accommodat
