DESCRIPTION:While children with ASD and other differences can struggle wit
 h verbal communication\, social relations\, and sensory development\, cre
 ative art-making activities enable them to foster new means of self-expre
 ssion and communication. Autism Creates harnesses art and art-making acti
 vities as means of promoting expression and social interaction among chil
 dren with ASD and their teachers\, caregivers\, and peers. Created in 200
 7\, this innovative program\, previously called Rainbow Artists and Art A
 viators\, and its results have been nationally recognized by museum assoc
 iations and healthcare providers alike.\n\nMonthly workshops are hosted o
 n-site at MOCA Jacksonville for children with ASD\, ages 6 and older\, an
 d their families. Families will create art and participate in sensory act
 ivities. Join us the second & third Saturday of each month from 11 a.m.-1
 2 p.m.\n\nThere is no cost to attend but space is limited and registratio
