DESCRIPTION:Join Penn State Alternative Breaks this fall break for a meani
 ngful service experience focused on community engagement\, social justice
 \, and learning beyond the classroom.\n\nParticipants will travel with a 
 group of approximately 10–12 Penn State students\, faculty\, and staff to
  volunteer with community partners while learning more about social issue
 s affecting the communities they serve.\n\nThis year’s confirmed trip wil
 l take place in Pittsburgh\, PA\, with a focus on Youth and Animal Conser
 vation. We will also be offering two additional trips\, with locations to
  be confirmed\, centered around Habitat for Humanity and Housing Security
  and Elderly Wellness & Care.\n\nThe trips will take place from November 
 21–25\, 2026 and will include service activities\, educational opportunit
 ies\, group reflection\, and opportunities to connect with fellow Penn St
 aters and the communities we visit.\n\nThe participation fee is $50\, whi
 ch includes transportation\, housing\, food\, supplies\, registration\, a
 nd educational activities. Payment plans and fee waivers are available fo
 r students with financial need.\n\nApplications are reviewed on a rolling
