  is one of the oldest forms of printmaking\, a relief method in which woo
 d is carved away to create an image. In this class\, you will watch demon
 strations of each step: creating an image\, transferring the image to a w
 oodblock\, carving\, and hand-printing. Students then create their own wo
 odblock\, carve it out\, and produce prints worthy of framing! No experie
 nce necessary\; beginners and intermediates welcome.\n\nPlease note: All 
 class supplies are provided. Prior to arrival\, we recommend that student
 s consider a handful of ideas for their woodblock and print out a copy of
  the chosen image. Ideal imagery has bold shapes or lines to make carving
  easier. Woodblock dimensions are approximately 6×6 inches. Students will
  have about an hour and a half to carve their images.\n\nMaterials\n\nAll
  materials provided.\n\nRegistration Information\n\nRegistration for this
  program starts on Tuesday\, August 18\, at 10:00 am for MAG Members\, an
 d Tuesday\, August 25\, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registrat
 ion ends on Wednesday\, November 11\, at 11:30 am.\n\nPrograms with inade
