DESCRIPTION:The School of Interdisciplinary Arts invites you to celebrate 
 the release of Tejiendo lo Invisible\, an original music project by Colom
 bian artist and Ohio University Interdisciplinary Arts PhD student Johann
 a Amaya.\n\nExploring migration\, cultural identity\, and the invisible h
 istories that shape our lives\, the project draws on Amaya’s Colombian he
 ritage and research in decolonial arts. Developed over six years and supp
 orted by the College of Fine Arts Billman Award\, the project brings toge
 ther music\, dance\, video installation\, and collaborative artistic prac
 tices.\n\nGoing beyond a traditional album release\, the music will also 
 take a unique physical form: a functional\, whale-inspired leather piece 
 designed by Colombian artists and featuring a QR code to access the album
 .\n\nJoin Amaya and her collaborators for an evening of interdisciplinary
  performance and conversation exploring how artistic collaboration connec
 ts cultures\, communities\, and experiences across borders. The performan
 ce will be followed by a discussion about the creative process and its co
 nnection to Amaya’s dissertation research on music and decoloniality in S
 outh America.\n\nCome experience an evening where music\, movement\, visu
 al art\, and conversation come together to explore the connections that t
