DESCRIPTION:The Food Recovery Network (FRN) is the largest student-led mov
 ement fighting food waste and working to end hunger in America. Founded i
 n 2011\, 4 students at College Park came together to form this organizati
 on. Currently it has grown into a network of 172 campuses in 46 states an
 d the District of Columbia. They have recovered and donated millions of p
 ounds of food to individuals and families in need! Towson University has 
 reported tens of thousands of pounds of food recovered and supplied to th
 ose in need across the Greater Baltimore area.\n\nOur purpose as a studen
 t organization is to organize Towson University’s chapter of FRN into a l
 ong-lasting\, growing\, student-led operation which recovers all unsold p
 roduct and diverts it from landfills to those in need. We aim to heavily 
 involve ourselves in service to the Greater Baltimore community and use o
 ur work to better understand and meaningfully improve our university’s fo
