SUMMARY:Theatre: Dance Nation
LOCATION:Scales Fine Arts Center Tedford Stage\, 1775 Wake Forest Rd. Wins
 ton-Salem\, NC 27109
DESCRIPTION:DANCE NATION is a jubilant and original play that is simultane
ously funny\, fierce\, and unsettling. It delves into the terror and joy
of growing up and the concept of ‘female perfectionism’ through the lens
of competitive dance. The play follows a group of middle-schoolers who fi
ercely navigate the boundaries of adulthood\, the world\, and their own i
dentities as they strive to win the Boogie Down Grand Prix in Tampa Bay.
