SUMMARY:Más Tropical with QUITAPENAS
LOCATION:The Loft\, 3151 Matthews Ln\, La Jolla\, CA 92093
DESCRIPTION:Southern California ensemble QUITAPENAS draws inspiration from
Afro-Latin rhythms and the rich musical traditions of Latin America. For
med by first-generation sons of Guatemalan and Mexican immigrants\, the g
roup blends influences from Colombia\, Peru\, Brazil\, Angola\, and beyon
 d into a sound shaped by movement\, celebration\, and joy.\n\n“QUITAPENAS
\, one word – all caps\, four syllables – all claps\,” gives you a taste
of the band’s rhythmic contagion. Named for the Spanish phrase meaning “t
o remove worries\,” QUITAPENAS invites audiences to dance\, connect\, and
  leave their worries behind.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/45437d2e-9778
