n psychedelics actually change the structure of the brain?\n\nArticle: Ps
ychedelics Promote Structural and Functional Neural Plasticity\n\nJoin th
e Neuroscience Club as we continue our exploration of psychedelics and th
eir effects on the brain! This month\, we'll discuss the research article
“Psychedelics Promote Structural and Functional Neural Plasticity” by Ly
et al. (2018).\n\nWe'll examine how compounds such as LSD\, DMT\, and ps
ilocin may promote neuroplasticity by encouraging neuronal growth\, incre
asing synaptic connections\, and influencing pathways involved in learnin
g and brain adaptation. We'll also explore what these findings could mean
for future treatments of depression\, PTSD\, and other mental health con
 ditions.\n\nTogether\, we'll critically evaluate the study's findings\, d
iscuss its limitations\, and consider how discoveries from cellular and a
nimal research might translate into clinical applications.\n\nNo neurosci
ence expertise required! Whether you're passionate about brain research o
r simply curious about the science behind psychedelics\, all are welcome
 to join the conversation!\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/48a9788f-ce94-44
