SUMMARY:NDMOA | FRAME Art Workshop
LOCATION:Museum of Art Main Galleries\, 261 Centennial Dr\, Grand Forks\,
 ND 58202
DESCRIPTION:FRAME events are structured for those who need special accommo
dations and adaptive methods for making art. FRAME stands for Flexible Re
sponsive Access for Museum Equity. Through the FRAME initiative\, the Nor
th Dakota Museum of Art is committed to creating an environment that alig
ns with and supports a diverse range of needs\, abilities and engagement
styles.\n\nFor this upcoming adaptive art workshop\, guests will explore
different printmaking techniques using found objects or "everything but t
 he kitchen sink." As a group\, we'll create a large-scale figure drawing\
, then piece together colorful keychains/bag charms!\n\nEach activity wil
l be accompanied by different adaptive practices. This includes step-by-s
tep guides with a final vision example\, activities pre-assembled at diff
erent stages\, plenty of volunteers for one-on-one guidance and a separat
e calm space/quiet area during the event.\n\nThis event is free and open
to the public thanks to funding from the City of Grand Forks Arts Re-Gran
 t. You are welcome to drop in or stay the whole time — activities will ru
n continuously. After creations are complete\, guests will be able to tem
porarily display them in our galleries for a small pop-up exhibition and
reception.\n\nIf you can't make it to this upcoming workshop\, don't worr
y\, there'll be more to come! FRAME is a long-term initiative. We have st
arted with individual programs but have goals to expand the initiative to
shape how the Museum functions as a whole.\n\nIf you're interested in \n
