SUMMARY:Cultivating Resilience for Ecological Distress Train-the-trainer
DESCRIPTION:Registration Required\n\nJoin us for a skill-building workshop
on supporting farmers and ranchers as they navigate the challenges assoc
iated with ecological change.\n\nMany people are struggling with the cons
equences of environmental changes.\n\nFarmers\, ranchers\, and landowners
have close relationships with places and landscapes and\, as a result\,
are especially vulnerable to ecological loss. This program\, presented by
Oregon State University Extension Small Farm's faculty Maud Powell and m
ental health professional Zoe Rossing\, will introduce participants to st
rategies for increasing resiliency in the face of extreme weather events
and a rapidly changing environment.\n\nWho?\n\nThis training is designed
for agricultural educators who provide support to farmers and ranchers. A
ttendees may include Extension professionals\, federal and state agency e
 mployees\, private sector consultants\, non-profit staff\, and growers an
 d producers.\n\nWhy Attend?\n\nResearch indicates that providing opportun
ities to share emotions and mental health challenges about ecological cha
nge leads to greater resilience\, increased connections within and betwee
 n communities\, and increased rates of positive/intentional action.\n\nIf
you’re interested in taking a deeper dive\, this workshop is a prerequis
ite for our cohort that will launch in the spring of 2026.\n\nWhat to Exp
 ect?\n\nDuring this live\, virtual\, three-hour training\, agricultural e
ducators will experience and learn how to deliver a 30-minute presentatio
 n on ecologica\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/4e55257c-4daf-44c2-9b2c-f5e
