 A new workshop series for graduate students\, from UCR Library Teaching &
  Learning and GrAdvantage\n\nMany graduate students step into a classroom
  before anyone has had time to talk with them about how teaching works. T
 he Pedagogy Praxis is a new series designed to help close that gap. Offer
 ed by UCR Library Teaching & Learning as part of GrAdvantage programming\
 , it helps graduate students grow as instructors\, put teaching theory in
 to practice\, and build connections with colleagues in other departments.
 \n\nBeginning Wednesday\, October 14\, 2026\, the series meets twice a mo
 nth from 1:00 to 1:50 p.m. The second-week session is theory: a discussio
 n-based\, reading-group-style conversation in GrAdvantage\, with optional
  readings shared ahead of time. The fourth-week session is practical: we 
 move into a library classroom (Orbach 122\, Rivera 138\, or Rivera 140) a
 nd try out activities together\, taking turns as instructor and student. 
 Each month's two sessions build on one topic\, and you are welcome to att
 end one or both. Some topics will return with fresh examples.\n\nThis fal
