SUMMARY:From Resume to Ready With CHABSS
LOCATION:UVA Classroom
DESCRIPTION:Residents will participate in an interactive career developmen
 t workshop focused on building a strong résumé\, exploring on-campus empl
 oyment\, and identifying internship opportunities relevant to CHABSS stud
 ents. The CSUSM Career Center will provide guidance on résumé development
  and offer an overview of Handshake\, including how students can use the 
 platform to find campus jobs\, internships\, and other professional oppor
 tunities. Following the workshop\, residents will hear from a panel of fe
 llow students who will share their experiences working in campus position
 s and participating in internships. Panelists will discuss their applicat
 ion processes\, tips for standing out as applicants\, and how they have g
 ained valuable skills through these experiences. Residents will have the 
 opportunity to ask questions\, connect with peers\, and enjoy pie and ice
  cream while learning about resources available to support their academic
  and career goals.\n\nLearning Outcomes\n1. Residents will identify at le
 ast two career and professional development resources available through C
 SUSM\, including the Career Center and Handshake.\n2. Residents will iden
 tify at least two strategies for strengthening their résumé or improving 
 their applications for campus jobs and internships.\n3. Residents will de
 monstrate an understanding of how to navigate Handshake to explore employ
 ment and internship opportunities relevant to their interests and career
