DESCRIPTION:"LinkedIn & Lattes" will provide residents with an informal op
 portunity to learn how to intentionally develop an academic and professio
 nal network connected to their areas of study. Residents will bring their
  laptops and participate in a guided LinkedIn profile-building activity c
 overing professional profile photos\, effective headlines\, descriptions 
 of academic and extracurricular experiences\, relevant skills\, and strat
 egies for connecting with peers\, faculty\, professionals\, organizations
 \, and alumni in their fields of interest. (I have taken a Career Indepen
 dent Study Course that I will pull knowledge from\, and I am taking Profe
 ssional Development this semester. The information I give to my residents
  will come from the lessons I learned from professional mentors). Residen
 ts will learn how relationships within and beyond the classroom can contr
 ibute to academic development\, mentorship\, career exploration\, and fut
 ure opportunities. By the end of the program\, residents will have practi
 cal tools for presenting their experiences professionally and beginning t
