DESCRIPTION:Join researchers from across UAB for the first retreat of the 
 UAB Health and Extreme Weather Collaborative\, an interdisciplinary initi
 ative focused on advancing research at the intersection of health\, clima
 te\, and extreme weather. This interactive working session will bring tog
 ether faculty and researchers to form cross-school teams\, explore five k
 ey research themes\, and identify collaborative project opportunities.\n\
 nParticipants will learn about available research resources\, engage in f
 acilitated breakout discussions\, and help develop project concepts that 
 will move forward between Retreat 1 and Retreat 2. The session will concl
 ude with team report-outs and planning for next steps.\n\nContinental bre
 akfast will be available beginning at 7:30 a.m.\, and lunch will be provi
 ded following the program.\n\nRegistration is open to all interested UAB 
 researchers. Register by October 28\, 2026. During registration\, partici
