DESCRIPTION:The UCCS Visiting Author Series proudly presents writers Keetj
 e Kuipers and Susanna Childress as part of its Fall 2026 line-up. A publi
 c reading featuring both will be held in-person at the Heller Center and 
 online\, followed by a Q&A session\, and booksigning. Light refreshments 
 will be served.\n\nKeetje Kuipers’ fourth collection of poems is Lonely W
 omen Make Good Lovers. She is the recipient of a National Endowment for t
 he Arts Literature Fellowship\, and her poems have appeared in the Pushca
 rt Prize and Best American Poetry anthologies. She lives in Montana and i
 s Editor of Poetry Northwest.\n\nSusanna Childress is the author\, most r
 ecently\, of Extremely Yours: a Memoir in Fragments. Her creative nonfict
 ion has appeared in The Rumpus\, Idaho Review\, Indiana Review\, Cincinna
 ti Review\, and twice been noted in Best American Essays. She lives along
  the west shore of Michigan and teaches at Hope College.\n\nThis event is
