DESCRIPTION:Getting Virtual Reality to Scale: Doing the Opposite of the En
 cumbents\n\nJoin Robert Fine\, Founder and Executive Director of the Inte
 rnational Virtual Reality and Healthcare Association (IVRHA)\, for a disc
 ussion of the history\, current landscape\, and future opportunities for 
 virtual reality (VR) in healthcare.\n\nRobert has been involved in advanc
 ing conversations around VR and healthcare since 2017\, when he organized
  the first conference dedicated to the topic at George Washington Univers
 ity Hospital. Following a second conference at Harvard Medical School in 
 2018\, he founded IVRHA in 2019 with 40 founding member organizations. Th
 e association has since grown to more than 130 member organizations world
 wide. Robert also teaches an Introduction to XR course at Champlain Colle
 ge and brings extensive experience in technology strategy\, development\,
  and engineering.\n\nDuring his presentation\, Robert will provide a brie
 f history of VR in healthcare\, examine the current state of the field\, 
 and share his perspective on emerging opportunities over the next three t
 o five years. He will also discuss the reasons behind the decision to dev
 elop their own VR headset for healthcare.\n\nFollowing the presentation\,
