SUMMARY:Adopt-A-Family Thanksgiving Meal Donation
LOCATION:Fisher Student Center (outside the bookstore)
DESCRIPTION:Adopt-A-Family is a great opportunity to shop for a local fami
ly in need of assistance with their Thanksgiving meal. We work in conjunc
tion with the Sister Isaac Center at the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary's\,
located in downtown Wilmington. This center provides food\, clothing\, ho
usehold items\, and financial assistance to community members and familie
 s.\n\nWant to donate a thanksgiving basket this year?\n\nAs a sponsor\, y
ou will buy groceries to provide a holiday meal for a family – we provide
the shopping list – and the groceries then need to delivered to us in a
container or box with a lid (this helps to make transporting the meals ea
sy) the Monday morning before Thanksgiving – November 26. We ask that don
ors also provide $20 cash for the purchase of a turkey by our community p
 artners. Providing a meal for a family is typically a $60-80 commitment.\
n\nAll meals need to be dropped off on Monday\, November 23 between 8am-1
0am at the Fisher Student Center. Click the link below to sign up!\n\nREG
