DESCRIPTION:The Girand Center for Biomedical Ethics is pleased to announce
  this year’s speaker\, Dr. Bryant Lin\, in conversation with Dr. Shoshana
  Ungerleider\, for the 36th Annual Jonathan J. King Lecture.\n\nWe invite
  you to join us on Thursday\, November 5 at 5:30pm PT in the Cedar Room a
 t the Stanford Faculty Club or via livestream for My Cancer Journey: Happ
 iness and Sadness\, Hope and Fear.\n\nIn this talk\, Dr. Lin will share a
  candid and deeply personal reflection on living with terminal cancer. As
  a leading researcher\, cancer advocate\, and patient\, he brings a rare 
 perspective to the realities of serious illness\, clinical care\, hope\, 
 and what it means to live fully in the face of uncertainty. Joining Dr. L
 in is Dr. Shoshana Ungerleider\, a physician\, journalist\, producer\, an
 d leading voice in compassionate\, patient-centered care. Together\, Dr. 
 Lin and Dr. Ungerleider will explore the emotional and practical dimensio
 ns of a cancer diagnosis—including fear\, purpose\, relationships\, and t
 he ways we navigate life-limiting illness with honesty and humanity.\n\nS
