SUMMARY:**ONLINE** Reclaiming the Humanity of Teaching: A Virtual Conversa
 tion
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, November 17\, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM\nWhat par
ts of teaching should remain unmistakably human? Teaching has always been
deeply human work\, but that can be harder to sustain in a time of rapid
change. AI is reshaping how students learn and create\, while faculty an
d staff are also navigating stress\, burnout\, and disconnection. Through
it all\, students still need opportunities to be heard\, build relations
hips\, and feel part of a learning community.\n\nJoin educational develop
ers Carter Moulton\, Liz Norell\, Derek Bruff\, and Tolu Noah for a virtu
al conversation about what it means to center humanity in teaching. Throu
 gh discussion\, activities\, reflection\, and play\, each presenter will
explore a different aspect of human-centered education\, including person
 al values\, authentic voice\, wellbeing\, and connection. You’ll explore
how your teaching values can guide everyday decisions\, how to preserve a
uthentic student voice in an AI-enabled classroom\, and how small practic
es can support wellbeing\, connection\, and joy. You’ll also experience a
ctivities you can adapt for your own courses\, including reflection promp
ts\, values-based discussion\, and simple strategies that help students f
eel more present and connected. Workshop offered by Magna Publications. R
