SUMMARY:Jeffrey Gibson: They Teach Love
LOCATION:Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) Coeta and Donald Barker Cha
 nging Exhibitions Gallery\, 1430 Johnson Lane\, Eugene\, OR 97403
DESCRIPTION:Jeffrey Gibson: They Teach Love presents a survey of 20 artwor

s\, and people alike\, have the potential for radical transformation.\n\n
The exhibition’s centerpiece is an expansive and immersive work titled To

hsonian’s National Portrait Gallery\, To Name An Other marks a turning po
int in the artist’s career whereby Gibson has increasingly sought out col
lective-based projects and performances to activate the communities withi
n which he works. Collaboration is at the heart of his recent social prac
tice. Working and learning together may aid in decolonizing minds and ins
