 orth Manhattan KS 66506‐3700
DESCRIPTION:The K-State ART 180 Color\, Light\, and Perception Lab classes
have partnered with Marlatt Elementary School for a collaborative art ex

att students\, K-State students developed their own gouache paintings of
personally meaningful hybrid animals\, drawing on the bold colors\, imagi
native forms\, and rich symbolism of Oaxacan Alebrijes. The exhibition hi
ghlights how the elementary students’ artwork served as a creative starti
ng point for K-State artists to explore personal identity\, symbolism\, a
nd expressive color while celebrating the connections formed through a sh
