DESCRIPTION:Faculty mentors play a key role in guiding undergraduate stude
 nts through the research process. But how do you find the right mentor\, 
 and how do you make the most of that relationship? This workshop will cov
 er:\n\n• Strategies for identifying a mentor (e.g.\, from class professor
 s\, using faculty profiles and ForagerOne\, setting up informational meet
 ings)\n\n• Setting clear expectations\n\n• Building a professional\, supp
 ortive\, and mutually beneficial relationship\n\nYou'll leave with practi
 cal tips for connecting with faculty and building a positive mentoring ex
 perience in any undergraduate research setting\, whether that be for a UR
 OP-funded project\, research assistantship\, directed study\, volunteer p
 osition\, or class-based research-intensive experience.\n\nUndergraduate
