egulates Pain Hypersensitivity in Experimental\n\nAutoimmune Encephalomye
litis\, a Model of Multiple Sclerosis\n\nMultiple Sclerosis (MS) is an au
toimmune disease of the nervous system characterized by neurodegeneration
\, demyelination\, and inflammation. Over half of MS patients experience
neuropathic pain that is poorly treated. Translation regulation is known
to be a contributor to pain pathogenesis\, specifically through the Integ
rated Stress Response (ISR) and eIF2A-driven translation of stress-resist
ant genes. We show that eIF2A is elevated in post-mortem human Dorsal Roo
t Ganglia (DRG) samples and further utilize a mouse model of MS known as
Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE) to assess the role of eIF
2A-driven translation in the EAE-induced pain phenotype. Our data establi
shes a translational approach to uncovering mechanisms of pain in MS and
identifies potential avenues for therapeutic developments.\n\nIf you are
