LOCATION:Kahin Center\, 640 Stewart Ave\, Ithaca\, NY 14850\, USA

nthropology\, University of Singapore\n\nTitle: Decolonial Endurance: Ind
igenous Wellbeing Against Chinese Settler Colonialism\n\nAbstract: Like m
any countries in Asia\, China does not recognize the existence of Indigen

moving beyond discourses of Indigenous victimhood\, I trace Lisu practice
s of everyday decolonization. Through storytelling\, care\, play\, and pr
ayer\, Lisu enact forms of decolonial worldmaking that enable them to end
ure colonial erasure by sustaining relationships with land\, refusing ass
imilation\, and imagining alternative futures. These practices\, too\, ar
