DESCRIPTION:Free\, Hybrid Event ↗\n\nHow Blood Can Now Tell Us About Brain
Health: Integration and Implementation of Blood Biomarkers for Alzheimer
 's Disease — Frontiers of BrainHealth Lecture\n\nMelissa Petersen\, PhD –
Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medi
cine\, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at UNT Health\n\nThe use of
blood biomarkers to detect Alzheimer's disease has advanced significantly
in both capability and scope. As a result\, the integration of such biom
arkers into clinical practice and Alzheimer's disease clinical trials has
become an increasingly important area of focus. Recently approved blood-
based diagnostic tests are beginning to enter clinical settings\, althoug
h guidance on their optimal use and implementation continues to evolve. D
 r. Petersen's research presentation reviews the current landscape of bloo
 d biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease\, including their context of use\, c
linical applications\, limitations\, and future directions. Her research
interests include Alzheimer’s disease\, biomarkers\, plasma and Down synd
