DESCRIPTION:Felt Stories is a collaborative program between Residential Ac
 ademic Mentors (RAMs) and the Cross-Cultural Center designed to help firs
 t-generation college students explore and celebrate their cultural identi
 ties while building a sense of belonging on campus. The program will begi
 n with a short presentation about cultural identity\, representation\, an
 d the importance of embracing the experiences and backgrounds that shape 
 who we are. Students will then create their own felt pennants using diffe
 rent colors\, symbols\, and images that represent their culture\, traditi
 ons\, values\, or personal experiences. Through this creative activity\, 
 students will have the opportunity to reflect on their identities\, conne
 ct with fellow first-generation students\, and celebrate the diversity wi
 thin their community.\n\n• Residents will identify personal\, cultural\, 
 or family influences that contribute to their identities.\n\n• Residents 
 will explore ways to express and celebrate their cultural identities thro
 ugh visual art and symbolism.\n\n• Residents will recognize the value of 
 cultural diversity and community connections in fostering a sense of belo
 nging as first-generation college students.\n\nThe purpose of Felt Storie
 s is to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where first-generat
 ion college students can explore their cultural identities\, celebrate th
 eir backgrounds\, and connect with others who may share similar or differ
