SUMMARY:Hawn State Park—White Oaks Trail
LOCATION:Hawn State Park
DESCRIPTION:This outing will be the White Oaks Trail in Hawn State Park. T
his state park is frequently cited as one of the most beautiful in Missou
ri!! The hike is a short but scenic 4.1 mile loop trail\, rated as modera
tely difficult on AllTrails. We plan to meet at the Clocktower at 9:45am\
, leave at 10:00am\, get to the park ~11:30am\, hike\, eat\, and leave by
1:30pm\, finally getting back to campus ~3:00pm. If you have been wantin
g to get off campus and explore some nature before Thanksgiving Break\, I
highly recommend signing up! Additionally\, the elevation gain is 413 ft
\, which is not too physically demanding for a 4.1 mile trail. If you hav
e never been hiking before\, this would be a nice introduction. This trip
aims to forward Outing Club's mission of inclusion and making the outdoo
rs more accessible\, so we welcome people of all levels of hiking experie
 nce.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/8e5bd346-4bfd-44c3-a5cc-a89ff2cc7464
