SUMMARY:SP-2 : Building AI to Solve Connect Four and Teaching Pixels How t
o Heal Themselves (Neural Cellular Automata)
LOCATION:Sign in to download the location
DESCRIPTION:SP2- I Taught Pixels to Heal Themselves\n\nThis session focuse
s on Artificial Intelligence and Computational Biology\, specifically Neu
ral Cellular Automata (NCA). We'll explore how individual pixels can beha
ve like cells\, using neural networks and local interactions to create co
mplex patterns. The main idea is to understand self-organization and emer
gent behavior\, and how a digital organism can learn to grow and regenera
te damaged parts without being explicitly programmed to repair each indiv
idual pixel.\n\nSP2- How to make connect four impossible?\n\nConnect Four
is a solved game: with perfect play\, the first player always wins. In t
his workshop we’ll build an AI that plays perfectly and can’t be beaten.
We’ll start with how a computer “thinks” about a game using minimax searc
h\, then make it fast enough to look deep into the game with alpha-beta p
runing\, smart move ordering\, and a compact board representation. By the
end you’ll have a working opponent you can try (and fail) to beat\, plus
techniques that carry over to chess engines\, game AI\, and any turn-bas
 ed game.\n\n---\nEvent Details: https://sundevilcentral.eoss.asu.edu/rsvp
