\n\nDance Nation is a jubilant and original play that is simultaneously f
unny\, fierce\, and unsettling. It delves into the terror and joy of grow
ing up and the concept of ‘female perfectionism’ through the lens of comp
etitive dance. The play follows a group of wild and curious middle-school
er dancers who fiercely navigate the boundaries of adulthood\, the world\
, and their own identities as they strive to win the Boogie Down Grand Pr
ix in Tampa Bay.\n\nFinalist! 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama\n\n“A refresh
ingly unorthodox play that conveys the joy and abandon of dancing\, while
addressing the changes to body and mind of its preteen characters as the
y peer over the precipice toward adulthood.”\n\nThis production is intent
ed for mature audiences only. See website for details.\n\nhttp://next-to-
