SUMMARY:How Does the University Senate and the Academic Modifications Advi
sory Committee (AMAC) Work?- How the University Works Series
LOCATION:Lokey Education Building 276
DESCRIPTION:The University of Oregon is a large complex organization with
thousands of employees working on different elements of the university’s
mission. It can be very difficult to understand the nuance of any given a
spect of the organization from outside its ranks. This lack of understand
ing can lead to frustration and confusion\, especially during times of ch
allenge.\n\nThis workshop series is designed to help faculty and staff br
eak down silos\, build connections\, and gain a clearer picture of how UO
operates. With shared understanding\, we can collaborate more effectivel
y and tackle challenges together.\n\nEach session in the series will expl
ore key areas of the university\, featuring insights from campus leaders
and opportunities for discussion.\n\nThis session on the AMAC Process is
faciliated by Edward Davis\, University Senate President\, Chair of the A
cademic Modifications Advisory Committee\, Professor of Earth Sciences\n\
nThis series is a collaboration between the Office of the Provost and Uni
versity Human Resources\, and we encourage Faculty & Staff to join us in
learning more about the University of Oregon and how it works. For inform
 ation\, contact learning@uoregon.edu.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/9a55
