DESCRIPTION:The Graduate School’s annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Compet
 ition will be held November 11–12\, 2026\, in the Joe Paul Theater. The p
 reliminary round will take place Wednesday\, November 11\, from 12:00pm–4
 :00pm\, with the top eight finalists advancing to the final round on Thur
 sday\, November 12\, from 12:00pm–2:00pm.\n\nSouthern Miss faculty\, staf
 f\, and students are encouraged to attend and hear multiple presentations
  showcasing the outstanding research being conducted by graduate students
 . Participants have three minutes to clearly explain their thesis or diss
 ertation research to a nonacademic audience. The competition is open to a
 ll graduate students\, with a virtual participation option for students e
 nrolled in 100% online programs. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the t
