SUMMARY:Cut Food: Beth Galton
LOCATION:Turchin Center for the Visual Arts Community Gallery\, 423 West K
 ing Street\, Boone\, NC 28608
DESCRIPTION:Depending on who we are and where we are from\, we think about
food differently. Contributing artist\, Beth Galton\, expresses that "cr
oss sections are not new–a cake half eaten shows its interior. When appli
ed to food items which are unexpected yet commonplace\, even well recogni
zable within our food vocabulary\, we move past the simple appetite appea
l we normally try to achieve and explore the interior worlds of these pro
ducts." Artists give us a very different way of understanding food. Photo
grapher Beth Galton works with food stylists to show us a playful new way
to look at the food we eat.\n\nCut Food is on display in Community Galle
ry\, and is accessible to the public during regular hours of operation. A
 dmission is free.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/a3ce2a8d-f044-497b-ab5f-
