SUMMARY:Retaliation 101: Recognize It\, Prevent It\, Address It
DESCRIPTION:Speaking up about concerns should never result in fear of reta
liation. Join us for Retaliation 101\, an introductory session designed t
o help participants understand what retaliation is\, how it can occur\, a
nd why it is prohibited within the university community.\n\nParticipants
will learn about common examples of retaliatory behavior\, individual rig
hts and responsibilities\, reporting options\, available protections\, an
d resources for support. The session will also explore how retaliation ma
y arise in response to reporting concerns\, participating in investigatio
ns\, requesting accommodations\, or exercising protected rights in good f
aith. Participants will also learn how to distinguish between actions tha
t may constitute retaliation and those that generally do not fall within
the definition of retaliation under university policy or applicable law.\
 n\nWhether you're a student\, faculty member\, or staff employee\, this t
raining will provide practical guidance for recognizing potential retalia
 tion\, understanding available protections\, responding appropriately\, a
nd helping foster a campus culture grounded in integrity\, accountability
\, and respect.\n\nWe hope to see you there. UTD Starts with YOU!\n\nhttp
