DESCRIPTION:Dr. Anna Clebone Ruskin is a Professor of Anesthesiology at th
 e University of North Carolina and the President of the Aerospace Human F
 actors Association. Dr. Ruskin specializes in teaching operating room wor
 kflow\, procedures\, ultrasound\, and ergonomics to new trainees. At this
  meeting\, Dr. Ruskin will provide insights and guidance into how to succ
 essfully carry out academic research\, guiding us through the steps of a 
 research project\, from idea to data to publication. Dr. Ruskin's researc
 h focuses on human performance in the operating room\, including critical
  event checklists and ergonomics. In the air traffic control environment\
 , Dr. Ruskin co-authored an alarm design framework\, resulting in the cre
 ation of several new alarms. Her work has been published in Aerospace Med
 icine and Human Performance\, Transportation Research\, Pediatric Anesthe
 sia\, The Canadian Journal of Anesthesia\, Current Opinion in Anesthesiol
