DESCRIPTION:Ethical practice requires more than knowing a professional cod
 e. It requires clinicians to recognize ethical concerns\, evaluate compet
 ing responsibilities\, and make thoughtful\, defensible decisions in comp
 lex clinical situations. This training examines the application of ethica
 l principles within individual behavioral health and substance use treatm
 ent. Participants will explore foundational ethical principles\, professi
 onal codes of ethics\, and Nevada regulations governing alcohol\, drug\, 
 and gambling counselors. Topics include informed consent\, confidentialit
 y and its limits\, professional boundaries and dual relationships\, docum
 entation\, legal requests for records\, HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2\, and eth
 ical decision-making.\n\nThrough discussion and case-based scenarios\, pa
 rticipants will practice applying ethical decision-making strategies to s
 ituations commonly encountered in clinical practice. The training also ad
 dresses emerging ethical considerations related to technology and artific
 ial intelligence\, including client consent\, confidentiality\, documenta
 tion accuracy\, cultural considerations\, and clinician responsibility wh
 en utilizing AI-assisted tools.\n\nLearning Objectives\n\nBy the end of t
