SUMMARY:Who Has Your Data? Understanding Privacy Rights In The Age of AI
LOCATION:King Library Room 125 - AI Center for Civic and Social Good\, 150
  E San Fernando St\, San Jose\, CA 95112
DESCRIPTION:AI systems increasingly rely on personal information for profi
ling\, predictions and automated decisions\, so knowing who collects your
data and how to control it is part of AI literacy. In this hands-on work
shop you’ll learn what data brokers are\, how your information ends up in
their files\, and how California’s free Delete Request and Opt-out Platf
orm (DROP) lets residents ask every registered data broker to delete it w
ith one request. We’ll walk through signing up step by step\, explain wha
t to expect afterward\, and cover the other privacy rights Californians h
ave\, including the rights to know\, delete\, correct and opt out. We’ll
also be candid about the limits of these tools. Bring a phone or laptop i
f you’d like to follow along. No prior experience is required.\n\nFacilit
