DESCRIPTION:The Regional Palliative Care Collaborative provides a comprehe
 nsive range of updates for clinicians and ancillary professionals who car
 e for patients and their families with serious illnesses. Topics include 
 the growing set of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments\, suppo
 rtive care\, discussions about available options\, and the mechanics of e
 nd-of-life care.\n\nCurrent knowledge of this subject matter is essential
  to enable professionals to provide the best care to their patients. The 
 Collaborative caters to a spectrum of providers with varying levels of ex
 pertise\, providing everything from basic-level review of palliative care
  topics for those early in their careers\, through state-of-the-science u
 pdates for experienced providers. Topics including Medical Aid in Dying\,
  ketamine therapy\, symptom management\, advance directives and decision-
 making\, support for the care team\, community engagement initiatives\, a
 nd more\, will be explored in workshop groups.\n\nLearning opportunities 
 are designed both for those who practice across the age spectrum\, from p
 ediatric palliative care to adult-focused palliative care. Participants a
 re encouraged to take practical\, evidence-based techniques\, theory\, an
 d practices back to their institutions to enhance their care of patients
