DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the rich artistic and cultural traditions of the Him
 alayan region during this free\, family-friendly community event is prese
 nted in conjunction with two current exhibitions: Gateway to Himalayan Ar
 t\, a traveling exhibition organized and provided by the Rubin Museum of 
 Himalayan Art\, and We Are Connected: Highlights from the USC Pacific Asi
 a Museum’s Himalayan Collection.\n\nEnjoy interactive art-making workshop
 s\, Storytime\, a tea tasting\, live cultural demonstrations\, and more. 
 Visitors can also experience the creation of a traditional sand mandala b
 y monks from Namgyal Monastery Dharma Center and learn about its artistic
  and spiritual significance through special opening and closing ceremonie
 s.\n\nThis program is in partnership with the Namgyal Monastery Dharma Ce
